NISA Director Holds Security, Reconciliation Talks in Abudwaq

The Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), Mahad Mohamed Salad, arrived in Abudwaq on Saturday and held a series of meetings with Federal Government officials, Galmudug State leaders, district authorities, traditional elders, and representatives from various segments of the community.

The discussions focused on strengthening security, preventing renewed inter-clan conflicts in northern Galgaduud, and enhancing cooperation among security agencies to maintain peace and stability.

During the meetings, the NISA Director highlighted the negative impact of clan conflicts on the overall security and development of Galmudug, noting that such violence undermines stability, restricts freedom of movement, and weakens social cohesion.

He urged traditional elders and local leaders to intensify efforts to end the long-running conflicts that have affected several communities across Galmudug.

Participants in the meetings commended the NISA Director for his efforts to promote peace, reconciliation, stability, and sustainable development throughout Galmudug.
