Commander of the Somali National Army Visits Balidoogle Military Base

The Commander of the Somali National Army (SNA), Brig. Gen. Ibrahim Mohamed Mohamud, accompanied by senior SNA officers, on Saturday paid a working visit to the Balidoogle Military Base.

During the visit, the Army Commander inspected the General Hassan Tuure Military Training School, where the 12th intake of the elite Danab Commandos is currently undergoing military training.

He also toured the facilities of the Danab Special Forces and the 161st Battalion of the 16th Danab Commando Brigade. The visit formed part of efforts to boost the morale of troops preparing to defend the country and intensify operations against Al-Shabaab militants.

Concluding the visit, Brig. Gen. Ibrahim congratulated officers of the Danab Special Forces who were recently promoted to higher ranks and urged them to remain steadfast in fulfilling their national duties and protecting the Somali people.
